Privacy Policy

What stays on your device

Everything ImpulseBlock needs to work is stored locally in your browser, on your computer:

• the list of sites you have chosen to block;
• your impulse log — a local record of when you opened a blocked site, kept for the most recent 7 days and then automatically deleted;
• your theme choice, any custom pause image you add, and your settings.

None of this is sent to us or to any server. We never see your blocked sites, your log, or your browsing activity. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the extension's core function.

Permissions, and why ImpulseBlock asks for them

To do its job, the extension requests a few browser permissions. Each is used only on your device:

• Access to the sites you visit — to detect when you open a site you have chosen to block, so the pause screen can appear. It is not used to build a browsing profile or send your history anywhere.
• Storage — to save your blocked list, settings, and local impulse log on your device.
• Alarms — to time the temporary-access countdown when you allow a site for a few minutes.

Pro purchases and license checks

The core of ImpulseBlock — blocking, the pause screen, your settings, and your impulse log — runs entirely on your device and is not sent to us or to any server.

Pro is sold and verified through ExtensionPay (ExtPay), which works with Stripe. The extension contacts ExtPay's servers (extensionpay.com) only in these situations:

• when you open the extension's popup, to show whether you are on Free or Pro;
• when you try to add a sixth blocked site on the free plan, to check your Pro status;
• when you choose to upgrade to Pro or restore a previous purchase;
• just after a payment, to confirm that it completed.

If you have never opened a checkout or restore page, the extension has no payment key and does not contact ExtPay at all. In that case nothing about your usage leaves your device.

When you do buy or restore Pro, ExtPay and Stripe handle the email address and payment details you enter on their checkout page. The only identifier the extension itself sends is a payment key issued by ExtPay; the extension does not send your email address. To unlock features, the extension uses just one piece of information from ExtPay — whether Pro has been paid for.

Your blocked sites, impulse log, custom pause image, settings, and browsing activity are never sent to ExtPay, Stripe, or MeeM as part of a purchase or license check.

Third-party services

Payments and Pro licensing rely on the third-party services ExtensionPay (ExtPay) and Stripe, which handle the email and payment information you provide at checkout. Stripe's handling of payment data is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Data retention and deletion

Your impulse log is kept locally for 7 days and then deleted automatically. Your blocked list, theme choice, custom pause image, and settings remain on your device until you change them, clear the extension's data, or uninstall ImpulseBlock.

Purchase and license records handled through ExtPay and Stripe may be retained by those services as needed for payment processing, refunds, chargebacks, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, support, and legal obligations. MeeM LLC does not receive or store your full card number or security code.

Children

ImpulseBlock is a general-purpose focus tool and is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by applicable local law. Its core features do not transmit blocked sites, logs, settings, or browsing activity. Changes to this policy

If we change how the extension handles data, we will update this policy and the date at the top of the page. We encourage you to review it from time to time.
