The extension

ImpulseBlock is a Chrome extension that places a brief pause screen before you open sites you have chosen to block, and keeps a local record of your overrides so you can observe your own patterns. Its core features run entirely on your device.

Free and Pro

ImpulseBlock is free to use. The free version lets you block up to five sites and includes the core pause screen, the local impulse log, and theme options. ImpulseBlock Pro unlocks an unlimited number of blocked sites. Pro is a one-time purchase of US$19, not a subscription.

Payment

Pro payments are handled through ExtensionPay (ExtPay), using Stripe. ImpulseBlock Pro is a one-time purchase of US$19, charged in U.S. dollars. The checkout page shows the final total before you pay, including any applicable taxes. Your card issuer may convert the amount to your local currency and may apply foreign-exchange or card fees, which are your responsibility.

After a successful payment, Pro features are normally unlocked immediately or shortly after payment confirmation. An internet connection is required to complete the purchase and to activate your license.

Your Pro license

When you purchase Pro, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the Pro features. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute your license. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to circumvent the licensing of the extension, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Acceptable use

ImpulseBlock is a self-management tool. You are responsible for how you configure and use it. You agree not to use the extension to violate any law, to interfere with the extension's intended operation, or to misuse the payment process.

Privacy

ImpulseBlock is built to keep your data on your device. Our Privacy Policy explains what is stored locally, what limited information is involved when you choose to purchase Pro, and the third-party services used for payment.

The extension is provided “as is”

ImpulseBlock is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. This does not exclude or limit any mandatory consumer rights or remedies that apply to you. ImpulseBlock is a tool to help you pause and reflect; it does not guarantee any particular outcome, and it is not a substitute for professional advice or treatment. We do not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser version or website.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MeeM LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, ImpulseBlock. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. For users who are consumers, any exclusion or limitation in this section applies only to liability arising from ordinary negligence, and only to the extent such exclusion or limitation is valid under applicable law.

Refunds

Because the free version lets you evaluate the core functionality before purchase, Pro purchases are generally non-refundable once Pro access is delivered. Limited exceptions apply, as described in our Refund Policy.

Changes

We may update the extension or these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of ImpulseBlock after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising from these terms or your use of ImpulseBlock will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance. This does not deprive you of any protection granted by mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence.
