When habit takes over
Choose the sites you want more space from — social media, video, news, or anything you open. ImpulseBlock puts a calm pause between your habit and the visit.
A calmer kind of website blocker
Most website blockers rely on hard blocks, pressure, and streaks.
ImpulseBlock doesn't.
It adds enough friction to interrupt the automatic visit, then leaves the choice to you.
A pause, not a lockout
When you try to open a site you've chosen to block, ImpulseBlock shows a calm screen first. You can leave it for now, or allow a short visit.
Patterns without pressure
A local activity log shows when you return to blocked sites. No scores, no streaks, no pressure.
Private by design
No account. No product analytics. Your blocked sites and local activity log stay on your device.
How it works
Choose sites. Get a pause.
Decide what happens next.
Step 1
Choose distracting sites to block
Add the sites you want more space from — social media, video, news, or any other site you tend to open automatically.
Step 2
Get a calm screen before the site opens
When you try to open a blocked site, ImpulseBlock shows a pause screen first. Choose “Not now,” or allow a short visit.
Step 3
Repeat visits make the wait a little longer
If you keep going back to the same site, the Renewal Ladder gently increases the wait: 5 minutes, then 10, 15, and 20. Your total wait time is capped at 60 minutes a day, so it adds friction without locking you out.
Step 4
Review your local activity log
See when you opened blocked sites, how often you went back, and which sites kept pulling you in. The log stays in your browser and clears itself automatically after 7 days.
It's there to show patterns, not judge them.
Customize the pause screen
Choose the mood that
feels right to you.
Five calm pause-screen moods — Sea, Sun, Moon, Sky, and Wood. Each one sets a different natural scene, while the pause itself works the same way.
